Our Covid-19 In-Office Safety Precautions

Update: April 1/2022 – Masks not required in-office.

Update: August 15/2021 – Masks mandatory in-office.
We are all being touched by this collective global experience, and if ever there is a time for community, and to hold each other’s hearts in loving kindness, it is now. More than ever, we want you to feel that you are in a restorative sanctuary, a respite, a place to regain your balance.

Please rest assured that it has always been our priority to protect both our clients (many of whom are immune compromised) and our team members from all possible pathogens by keeping our facilities hospital-grade clean. We have always had extremely strict infection control protocols in our office, strictly adhering to the highest standard of facility cleanliness set forth by I-ACT (International Association for Colon Hydrotherapy) as well as the NBCHT (National Board for Colon Hydrotherapy).

As a wellness establishment, we are diligently communicating with our professional organizations and office medical director, as well as staying current with new medical updates being put forth by the CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention), WHO (World Health Organization) and City of Austin Public Health.

Our standard practices have always included:

1) Use of hospital grade disinfectants and bleach cleaners in office

After each colon hydrotherapy treatment our equipment is disinfected with Cetylcide II* and the bathroom is very carefully cleaned with Clorox bleach. Our doorknobs and light switches are also cleaned multiple times a day with Cetylcide II*.

*Cetylcide II is an EPA-registered, broad-spectrum hospital-grade disinfectant effective against 140+ disease-causing organisms including; HIV, MRSA, VRE, HBV, and Influenza A / Brazil Virus (H1N1).

2) Hand washing

All of our team members have always washed their hands very frequently (typically 25+ times per day) using colloidal silver soap.

3) Circulate air in the colonic room – opening windows, overhead fan, ozone purifier

Our standard practice between colonic sessions has been to open a window, letting old air out and fresh air in for proper ventilation and circulation. We also enlisted periodic use of an strong ozone air purification system at night.

4) Periodic daily disinfecting of common area surfaces

Our POS station, doorknobs, light switches, clothing hooks, and other high contact surfaces have always been disinfected multiple times a day and will continue to be using high-quality disinfectants.

We have implemented the following new practices to further ensure your safety:

1) All clients must  wash hands immediately upon entering the office

You’ll be encouraged to get right into the bathroom before touching anything. Just simply set your personal belongings down and head to the bathroom. It is well stocked with colloidal silver soap. Wash your hands for at least 20 seconds.

2)  All sheets and towels are now washed with bleach

Our previous practice was to use hot water for laundry and bleach only when needed. We now add bleach to every load of laundry to reduce any chance of contamination.

3) Please do not come into the office if you have an obvious cough or sneeze.

To protect everyone physically and mentally, please refrain from coming in for an appointment with a cough or sneeze. The common cold as well as other flu viruses are still around. We ask that you wait until you are cough/sneeze-free or your allergies pass.

4) Face mask mandatory during sessions

Every team member and client will wear a face mask during sessions and while in the office. The only exception is when a client is in the ozone sauna.

5) Clients to text from parking lot when they arrive

Due to the close nature of our studio, we have decided to keep our main door locked during sessions and refrain from allowing clients to wait for appointments in our waiting room. This limits cross traffic and is working very well. Please text 1-512-265-6333 when you arrive and we will let you know when you can come in.

6) No hugging unfortunately

As much as we love hugs, we will greet you and send you on your way with heartfelt gratitude and warm wishes, minus the hugs.

7) If you have been around someone that has been diagnosed with the Covid-19 virus, please call us directly to see when it would be appropriate to come into the office.

Generally, if you are not experiencing any symptoms yourself after 15 days, current thought is that you are no longer a potential carrier of the virus. However, before you come into the studio, we will want to talk with you to assess your situation specifically.
